CURRICULUM UPDATE #3

November has flown by. Special thanks to Assistant Librarian, Donna Knott, who oversaw our annual Magazine Drive. Not quite as much money was raised as last year but not bad considering more people reading online these days as opposed to physical books and magazines. Congratulations to Kristen Buley's 7th grade Advisory, who won the Drive's culmination Pig Race at the end of our Thanksgiving Assembly! All members of Ms. Buley's Advisory will receive a special t-shirt (see above). Congratulations to Katie Turner, who's t-shirt design was voted the winner from the eight submitted by Blake students.

The 8th grade LMC 12-week rotation classes finished last week. Ms. Horvath's coding classes designed and printed their names on our new 3-D printers and Mr. Haycock's Design Thinking students designed and created products to help a class member improve his or her daily life.

A new shipment of books is displayed around the the LMC and the school is now officially registered with our new version of e-Book library - Commonwealth e-Books SORA app!
