BLAKE LMC 2018-19 WELCOME!

To all of you new 6th grade students - welcome aboard! To the returning 7th and 8th grade students - welcome back! To all new 7th and 8th grade students - great to have you here. It's going to be a great year in the Blake Library Media Center. We've recently added dozens of brand new, exciting books and you'll also soon have the opportunity to read, with incredible comfort and convenience, on your very own iPad through Commonwealth e-Books (THROUGH THE NEW SORA APP - SEE BELOW). We're open every day after school 'till 3:00 and also feel free to stop by on your way to lunch if you'd like to grab a quick book. Mr. Haycock and Mrs. Knott will gladly help you out. While you're here, be sure to visit Ms. Horvath, who will gladly tell you all about our award winning Makerspace!

axis 360 IS OUT

Sora IS IN!

As you oldsters know, for the past two years, Blake has enjoyed checking out free books through our Commonwealth e-Book membership. But, as often happens in life, all good things must eventually come to an end. Actually, the only thing ending is the way we take the books out, which can be summed up as follows:

AXIS 360 (the OK old system) - NO LONGER WORKING

SORA (the unbelievably awesome new system) - WILL SOON BE WORKING

"Hey, wait a minute" you may be thinking. "That means I can't check any e-Books out." Your deduction would be correct. For the next couple of weeks, Blake reading will be old school, but it's still a pretty good school. Please come by the LMC to satisfy most all of your 3-D reading desires.

Medfield's IT team is working, as you read this, behind the scenes to implement all of the technical changes and authorizations necessary to enact this big change. When completed, we'll be in touch to let you know how to activate the magic that is Sora!
