Children of Blood and Bone is a very inspirational and magical book. It's about a girl named Zelie, who is a diviner. At age 13, diviners get powers and are called "magic". One day all of the magi, other than Zelie, disappear - including her mother! With the help of a princess, Zelie goes on a journey to bring the magi back. Along the way, she makes some very unexpected friends. This book stresses the importance of the message that even though we are all different, we are all human and have to be treated the same.
